The short version: book honestly, give a day’s notice if plans change, and nothing here will surprise you.
Booking and payment
Lessons are paid for in advance. A time is held for fifteen minutes while you complete checkout; if payment is not completed in that window the time is released and offered to other students. Payments are processed by Payfast or PayPal — no card details are stored on this site.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before a lesson starts, from the My Lessons page. A cancelled lesson inside that window is forfeited: the time was reserved for you and cannot realistically be refilled. If the teacher cancels, you always get the lesson back as a credit or a full refund, your choice.
Lesson packs
Credits from a lesson pack are valid for six months from the date of purchase and are used oldest-first. Unused credits are not refundable after that period, but if something unusual has happened, ask.
Lateness and no-shows
The lesson room stays open for the full booked time. If you arrive late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time. A no-show counts as a completed lesson.
Recordings and notes
Lessons are not recorded unless both parties agree at the time. Where automated lesson notes are switched on, you will be asked for consent at booking and again at the start of the call, the transcript is kept for a stated period only, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any point.
